About the Artist

I fell in love with ceramics in 2008 while studying Fine Art at the College of Wooster. After graduating in a recession, I followed a meandering path from bartending to nannying, all while keeping my art practice as close as possible. I studied further through Community College and Rec Center Classes, but when I took on a 2 year stint as a cake decorator, a new spark ignited in me.
Since then, I have narrowed in on a personal style that incorporates traditional baking techniques into clay work, and I am happy that this pool of inspiration is continually flowing with new ideas.
Deep down, my practice is rooted in a love for people. I want people to see my work and light up with joy. I want my pieces to be thoughtful gifts for the flower lovers in your life. I want people to keep a piece in their home and feel happy when they see it and use it. I think there is value in simply enjoying beauty.
I find the opportunity to create thrilling and aspire to produce pieces in clay that will elevate everyday moments.
